Ghana’s national team coach has called up Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare as a substitute for Gidios Aseako for the upcoming international friendly against Mexico.
Asare, who has earned 11 caps for the Black Stars, will join the squad for the match scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026. The call-up comes as a reward for his consistent performances in the Ghana Premier League this season.
The Hearts custodian made his senior international debut for Ghana against Chad in March 2025, stepping up after a string of impressive displays for his club.
