Dr. Nduom Shares Series of Gratitude Messages After Court of Appeal Victory for GN Savings and Loans

Victory for GN Savings and Loans: Appeal Court Restores Licence and Hands Over Assets

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, founder of Groupe Nduom, expressed heartfelt gratitude on his Facebook page after the Court of Appeal restored the operating licence and assets of GN Savings and Loans Company Limited.

In “GRATITUDE ONE”, Dr. Nduom said: “I thank everyone for their prayers, support and encouragement for our crusade #BringBackGNBank and to God the Almighty for listening to them. 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿”

In “GRATITUDE TWO”, he added: “To Togbe Afede, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi, Archbishop Duncan-Williams, Emeritus Bishops Sarpong and Nketsia, and others for opening your doors to us. #BringBackGNBank”

In “GRATITUDE THREE”, Dr. Nduom said: “To my people – Anomansafo, Edina Botwaeku, Asankoma, Katakranka. Medaase Papaapa”

In “GRATITUDE FOUR”, he thanked: “To HE. John Dramani Mahama for the promise he made as a presidential candidate to return banks collapsed unjustly. And for creating an enabling and positive social and economic environment in the country.”

In “GRATITUDE FIVE”, Dr. Nduom declared: “THANKS TO THE JUDICIARY – Particularly the Court of Appeal panel for understanding the call we have made since 2019 to correct the wrong decision made by the Bank of Ghana.”

The Court of Appeal unanimously quashed the High Court’s 2024 ruling on May 21, 2026, and ordered the Bank of Ghana to restore the company’s licence immediately. They deemed the 2019 revocation unfair and unreasonable, directing the receiver to return all assets, management, and control to the original shareholders.

The Bank of Ghana revoked Dr. Nduom’s licence on August 16, 2019, during a banking sector clean-up, citing insolvency and governance issues. Dr. Nduom’s team challenged the decision in court, arguing it was unlawful. The seven-year legal battle ended with a ruling in favour of Dr. Nduom, who pledged to rebuild the institution stronger.
