Five Major Tournaments Confirmed as WAFU B Announces 2026 Fixtures

The West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) has released its official 2026 competition schedule, featuring five major youth and women’s tournaments across the region.

The calendar kicks off with the AFCON U20 Boys Qualifiers tournament, set for 26 July to 9 August 2026 in Ivory Coast.

This will be followed by the CAF WCLQ (Women’s Champions League Qualifiers), scheduled for 23 August to 5 September 2026 in Burkina Faso.

Next on the program is the WAFU-B U17 Girls competition, to be hosted by Ivory Coast from 15 to 27 September 2026.

The AFCON U17 Boys Qualifiers will then take place in Burkina Faso between 16 and 29 November 2026.

The year concludes with the African School Championship U15, scheduled for 6 to 9 December 2026 in Nigeria.

All competitions fall under the auspices of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Zone B.
The schedule outlines clear pathways for young talent and women’s teams from the sub-region to prepare effectively, gain valuable international experience and ultimately qualify for continental competitions.

Dates and venues are subject to final confirmation by CAF and host associations.
