GFA Talent Hunt Reaches Final Stage in Brong Ahafo and Ashanti
The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Talent Identification Programme (TID) has reached its final regional phase, with aspiring young footballers in the Brong Ahafo and Ashanti Regions set to compete for places in the 2026 Elite Academy Schools.
The final selection exercise will take place at Nana Ofosu Gyeabour Park in the Brong Ahafo Region and Urban Park in the Ashanti Region, bringing together 72 shortlisted boys and girls identified during the earlier stages of the nationwide scouting programme.
Players will be assessed by the GFA’s accredited technical staff and talent scouts, who will evaluate their ability and potential to combine football with academic excellence.
Those selected will gain admission to the GFA’s Elite Academy Schools at Bolgatanga Senior High School, Prempeh College in Kumasi and Achimota School in Accra, where they will continue their education while receiving structured football development.
The Talent Identification Programme is one of the GFA’s flagship youth initiatives, aimed at discovering promising players from across the country and providing them with a clear pathway into elite football.
The programme forms part of the association’s long-term strategy to widen the talent pool and ensure gifted young footballers have the opportunity to develop both on the pitch and in the classroom.
