Kyereh Sends Emotional Rallying Call to Black Stars Ahead of Panama Clash

As the Black Stars prepare to face Panama in Toronto for their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign, SC Freiburg midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh paid tribute to the national team, rallying his teammates and the nation behind them.

The 30-year-old shared his heartfelt social media post, expressing his deep personal meaning of representing Ghana and offering his full support to the players in the crucial opening Group L encounter.

“Wearing this badge has never been just football to me, it’s identity, it’s family, it’s home,” Kyereh wrote, accompanied by the Ghanaian flag.

He continued: “Every time I step onto this stage, I carry the voices, dreams, and belief of an entire nation with me. From my first call-up to every moment in between, Ghana has shaped who I am on and off the pitch.”

Kyereh, recovering from injury but still connected to the national team, emphasised unity and teamwork as they face Panama at BMO Field.

“Tonight is another reminder of what it means to represent something bigger than yourself. Fight for each other, stay united, and trust the spirit that lives within this team. No matter the moment, we move as one. Always Ghana.”

The message, tagged #BlackStars and #Ghana, serves as a powerful show of solidarity from a player who has featured 18 times for the senior national team. Though not in the matchday squad for the Panama clash, Kyereh’s words are seen as a morale boost for his teammates as they kick off Ghana’s World Cup journey.
