WAFCON 2026: Alozie Undergoes Routine Doping Test After Nigeria’s Win Over Zambia
Nigeria defender Michelle Alozie underwent a routine anti-doping test after being named Woman of the Match in the Super Falcons’ 1-0 victory over Zambia at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The 29-year-old right-back produced an energetic display at both ends of the pitch as Nigeria held on for all three points despite playing much of the second half with 10 players.
Captain Asisat Oshoala scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute to secure victory for the nine-time African champions, with Alozie’s defensive performance proving crucial as Zambia pushed for an equaliser.
Speaking after the match, the Chicago Stars FC defender confirmed she had been selected for a post-match anti-doping test, a routine procedure carried out during major international tournaments.
