Senegal goalkeeper Adji Ndiaye was named the TotalEnergies Woman of the Match following an outstanding performance in her side’s goalless draw against hosts Morocco in their final Group A match at the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2026 on Monday.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper, who celebrates her 20th birthday on 4 August 2026, produced a series of crucial saves to frustrate the tournament hosts, keeping a clean sheet as Senegal earned a valuable point in a tightly contested encounter.
Ndiaye’s commanding display between the posts proved instrumental in preserving the 0-0 result, with her composure and timely interventions helping the Lionesses of Teranga withstand sustained Moroccan pressure.
The award marks Ndiaye’s second TotalEnergies Woman of the Match honour of the tournament, making her the only goalkeeper at the 2026 WAFCON to win the accolade twice.
