Ivory Coast Stun France 2-1 in Shock World Cup Warm-Up

Ivory Coast came from behind to defeat France 2-1 at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Thursday in a major upset ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Rayan Cherki gave France the lead in first-half stoppage time. Guéla Doué equalized for the Elephants in the 53rd minute, before Manchester United’s Amad Diallo scored the winning goal in the 84th minute.

The match carried extra significance as brothers Guéla Doué (Ivory Coast) and Désiré Doué (France) faced each other. It marked Ivory Coast’s first-ever senior victory over France.
