Ghana Names Final 26-Man Squad for 2026 World Cup
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially unveiled the Black Stars’ final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Following a training camp and an upcoming friendly against Wales, the preliminary squad was trimmed. The squad will now compete in Group L alongside Panama England and Croatia.

Notable inclusions include the return of Baba Rahman after a long absence, as well as Ernest Nuamah and Abdul Mumin. The squad features a strong blend of European-based talent and local players.
Jordan Ayew will captain the side, supported by experienced campaigners like Thomas Partey in midfield and exciting attackers Iñaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, and Ernest Nuamah. Coach Queiroz has expressed confidence in the group’s balance and readiness.
Ghana will be looking to progress from a difficult group and make a deep run in the tournament, building on their historic quarter-final appearance in 2010.
The Black Stars face Panama in their opening match, followed by clashes against England and Croatia. A last but one final warm-up friendly against Wales is scheduled for June 2 before the team departs for the World Cup.
