Black Maidens Seal 8-0 Aggregate Rout with 2-0 Win Over Liberia

Ghana’s Black Maidens secured a comfortable 2-0 victory in the second leg of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Liberia, progressing with an emphatic 8-0 aggregate score.

After a commanding 6-0 first-leg win in Accra, the Maidens maintained control at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex. They combined defensive solidity with clinical attacking play, with Seidatu Wahab opening the scoring in the 15th minute and Juliana Gyekyewaa adding the second on 51 minutes. Liberia were unable to mount any meaningful comeback.

Coach Joe Nana Adarkwah’s squad once again showcased depth and discipline throughout the tie. The Black Maidens now advance with strong momentum, reinforcing their reputation as one of Africa’s top youth women’s teams.

They will face Senegal in the next round, with the first leg scheduled between July 3–5 and the return leg between July 10–12.
